I Ching consultation for focused modern decisions

The I Ching is most useful when a question is specific, time-bound, and approached as reflective decision support.

Start with the real situation

Imagine standing at the entrance of a Montreal condo, clinic, shop, or office and sensing the same problem your clients feel before they can explain it: the door does not pull people in, the room looks fine but never settles, or the daily route quietly creates stress. That is where a real consultation starts.

The I Ching is strongest when the client has a real decision but incomplete information. The work is not to make the decision for the client, but to name the situation, the moving point, and the kind of action the moment can support.

What a practitioner actually checks

  • Whether the question has one owner, one time frame, and a real action option.
  • Whether the client is asking for clarity, permission, emotional reassurance, or control over another person.
  • The current hexagram, moving lines, changed hexagram, and whether the image matches known facts.

How it becomes advice

  • Rewrite vague questions into testable form, such as: if I choose A in the next three months, what is the main risk?
  • Turn the reading into a decision protocol: act, wait, gather information, negotiate, reduce exposure, or stop.

What the client can use

The client leaves with a clearer question, a better sense of timing, and one grounded action instead of a fatalistic answer.

Professional boundary

This is educational consultation content. It can support observation, planning, and decision clarity, but it does not replace medical, legal, financial, engineering, psychological, or licensed professional advice.
